"Helping One Community at a Time!"

Nate Comic Inc., located in the vibrant Western Suburbs of Chicago, is on a mission to "Save one Child at a Time" - and we firmly believe that "We're Better Together!" With a dedicated and passionate team of 20 volunteers and supporters, we are committed to making a lasting impact. Our organization is all about providing strategic, hands-on, job and career-focused training programs for at-risk youth right here in the heart of Maywood and Proviso Township, two beautiful suburbs of Chicago, IL.

Nate Comic Inc. proudly serves as the parent company of several remarkable subsidiaries, each contributing to our overarching mission:

  • Nate Comic Graphic Novels™: Captivating and innovative storytelling through graphic novels, engaging young minds in the world of literature and art.

  • Mike Entertainment LLC: A dynamic entertainment company dedicated to creating engaging content that resonates with youth and empowers them to dream big.

  • Phoenix Rose Studios LLC: A hub of creativity, nurturing young talents in the arts and providing a platform for them to shine.

  • Dowg House Records™: A trailblazing music label that inspires, uplifts, and amplifies the voices of young musicians.

  • Dad and Taff Productions LLC: A creative force in the world of media, producing content that sparks imagination and ignites positive change.

In addition to our subsidiaries, we are also the proud parent of Larry's Boys School Program, a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to empowering youth through education and mentorship.

Our primary goal is crystal clear: We're here to offer Resume Writing, Jobs Referrals, Job Training in Manufacturing, and Mentoring in the Arts Programs to the youth residing in the Village of Maywood and Cook County area. We've built formidable partnerships with organizations such as West Suburban Community Development Corp., Miracle Revival Center, local school districts, and the juvenile court system. These alliances have allowed us to create life-changing employment opportunities, top-notch job training, and comprehensive job readiness programs. But that's not all – we're also dedicated to nurturing pro-social friendships, enhancing interpersonal skills, and reigniting hope for a brighter future.

At Nate Comic Inc., we understand that the path to success often starts with personal relationships. We believe in fostering a sense of individual responsibility and empowering our youth with pride and a strong commitment to their journey into adulthood.

Our program is a direct response to the pressing challenges faced by young people today. Many of them are slipping through the cracks in our educational system or are caught up in the juvenile court system. Nate Comic Inc. offers a lifeline, a positive support system to help them avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives.

But that's not all we do! Our innovative solutions go beyond just mentoring; they include crime prevention through job readiness programs that ultimately promote Social Justice. In these challenging times, especially with the onset of COVID-19, Larry's Boys Program remains a steadfast source of support for at-risk youth. We're here to address the economic needs of low-income individuals and families by creating employment and business opportunities right in our own communities.

We've also taken proactive steps to fight hunger by initiating one of the first summer feeding programs in Maywood. This program isn't just about averting hunger; it's about preventing aggravation, agitation, anger, and resentment that can lead to crime and violence. We believe in making a difference, both big and small.

In addition to these initiatives, Nate Comic Inc. proudly sponsors annual back-to-school supply giveaways, holiday gifts/toys giveaways, and an ongoing community mentoring program for at-risk youth.

Our commitment doesn't end there. We're constantly expanding economic opportunities by mentoring the acquisition of essential skills, education, and training needed for gainful employment. More young people are discovering the doors to opportunity swinging wide open, whether they're graduating, pursuing higher education, or finding work. This creates an immediate and long-term ripple effect, building family stability and creating resilient, thriving communities.

Our plan is ambitious: We're making office equipment available by appointment to students twice a week for 2 hours, offering online support sessions twice a week for counseling (both mental health and academics), and hosting a weekly support group for parents. This support group covers a range of topics, from managing stress, depression, and anxiety during these challenging times to sharing tips for a successful school year during the pandemic. Parents also get the opportunity to connect, share their experiences, and offer support to one another.

Our youth arts and job mentoring program is not just about personal growth; it's a powerful force against systemic racism, championing Social Justice. We emphasize community-based initiatives for at-risk youth, designed to help them prioritize their goals, both short-term and long-term.

Nate Comic Inc. and our dedicated partners are focused on providing job training, employment programs, employment workshops, and opportunities for youth aged 6-18, as well as adults aged 19-24. While the focus may vary slightly at each level, our overarching goal remains constant: empowering youth to make positive changes in their lives. We actively collaborate with local businesses on St. Charles Rd. to facilitate job placement and interim placement, making our job-training program an invaluable resource for youth, mentors, and the entire community.
